Back to Ana Porss

On the evening after the murder of Axel von Fersen, a man shows up at the house of young Charlotte and her mother. The man claims to be von Fersen’s servant and tells that his master before his death saved his life and that he now has to flee with Charlotte as she is the nobleman’s illegitimate daughter.

For Charlotte, who had no idea who her father was, the revelation comes as a shock, but eventually the beginning of a whole new life.

The author has managed to write a novel with empathy which makes it difficult to distinguish between fact and fiction. The character gallery in the novel undeniably arouses the reader’s curiosity. A very interesting and well-written novel in which 19th century Stockholm is depicted.
