Sweden’s most beloved commissioner, the surly but warm-hearted Ewert Truut, continues to fight.
Now it’s a series of murders, seemingly unconnected, but where all the victims are found together with part of a dead mouse. Ewert ends up in hospital where he is hit by a female stalker who gives him cold feet. At the same time, he will deal with storms in his relationship, Carolina’s unhappy life and the sauerkraut juice from co-worker and vegan Richard Kahn.
