Despite the breakup and the loss of Gustav, Malin has finally found some sort of peace, mostly thanks to the jogging and the inner circle consisting of her, her close friend and colleague Olof and his father Herman. Despite this, a strong desire gnaws at her, which all too often casts a shadow over life and that feels impossible to achieve, now that she is single and the biological clock is ticking. But when Malin meets Emelie by pure chance, she begins to understand that the situation may not be as hopeless as she thought.
Olof travels around the country and kingdom and gives lectures on how he rebuilt his life after the tsunami when he lost his wife, son and unborn child. But in the middle of the crowd, a woman stands out. A woman who follows his tour schedule and seems to want a closer contact with him. Who is she and what is she really looking for?
When Jacob Juul-Andersen, publisher at one of Denmark’s largest publishing houses, contacts Malin’s publisher Pelle and announces that they are interested in Malin’s and Olof’s book, the joy finds no bounds. But the consequences will be far more extensive than Malin could ever have imagined.
