Swedish Nelly has just received the keys to her house in the small French village on the Mediterranean coast. Now Christmas is just around the corner and Nelly has a dilapidated house and a wild garden to deal with, and also a new life to settle into. She becomes increasingly attached to the olive farmer Victor, but hesitates because she is happy with her newfound independence. On the other hand, she thinks that Jean-Paul, the owner of the neighboring town’s toy store, and Nadine, the owner of the village’s flower shop, would be a perfect couple, although not asked for, she takes on the role of matchmaker.
Christmas in the village between mountains and sea is a warm story of community and love, and takes place far from the Swedish autumn darkness. It is an independent continuation of The Vineyard between mountain and sea.
