Death around the corner

It is spring and in the fashionable little second-hand shop downtown Stockholm, Vanessa is struggling to establish herself after being forced to quit her casting job in the television world against her will. Her somewhat eccentric family and the four-legged villager Napoleon both help and hinder her in her work in the shop, but her intentions are, at least for the most part, good.

Most unexpectedly, an interesting casting assignment appears that Vanessa takes on. Suddenly, she gets really busy when she has to juggle two jobs, family, an ex she may or may not have feelings for, and a certain thrill that arises when she thinks of the policeman Henrik, whom she met in Death in a red dress, the first book in the series. As if that was not enough, a mysterious woman named Juliette is lurking in the background, and both Vanessa herself and several of her family members are exposed to great danger. Death Around the Corner is the second book in Lotta Luxenburg’s mystery detective series about Vanessa Hurtig. Here excitement, humor, fancy second-hand clothes and coziness are mixed in clear and well-known Stockholm environments.
