When Skilaki as a puppy was thrown into the sea from a refugee boat, he and his brother Skye floated ashore in southern Crete. Skye, with the beautiful ice blue eyes, he was quickly captured and taken to the great land of the west.
Skilaki stayed on the island, and was soon one of the wisest village clerks around.
Together with Stella, Delfi and the runaway vacationer and purebred poodle Miss Kajsa von Knorring, Skilaki decides to find his little brother. With a lot of planning and with danger to his own life, he makes his way from the pleasant village life of Crete all the way to the glitzy neighborhoods of Hollywood and the million-dollar mansions of Beverly Hills.
The road is lined with dangerous bipeds, Oscar galas and dog crime. Will Skilaki ever find Skye?
