Staffan Westerberg

Staffan Westerberg, actor, director, screenwriter, artist and literary writer is a Swedish icon.

Already as a child he was interested in theater and acting, and with the help of boxes, flashlights and painted decorations of all kinds, he created his own theater, where he set up the various plays and operettas, that he had seen at the National Theater.

Staffan has been engaged at the Royal Dramatic Theater, Stockholm City Theater, Norrbottensteatern, at Uppsala City Theater and the Kaivokatu Four. He is famous for his TV-shows for children such as Lost in the pancake the  Clown Beppo as well as countless theater-, film- and television roles and scripts over the years has consolidated his outstanding creativity and great work and in culture and art.

He has been awarded the Swedish Theater Critics’ prize, Swedish Dagbladet Poppe Prize and Mensa Prize in 2001. He was appointed Honorary doctor at LuleĆ„ University of Technology in 2002 and was awarded the royal medal Litteris et Artibus in 2006.
